Building an AI agent has never been easier. But moving from a working prototype to an enterprise-ready agent that can safely connect to your systems, take action, and deliver measurable outcomes is a very different challenge. Join Robert Alvarado, Senior Vice President of Information Management & Technology Services at Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC), alongside Botco.ai CEO Rebecca Clyde, Executive Chair Anu Shukla, and CTO Chris Maeda for a practical discussion on what organizations should consider when deciding whether to build, buy, or combine the two.
We’ll cover:
- The true total cost of ownership — what DIY AI really costs once you factor in development, integrations, testing, maintenance, monitoring, security, and the people required to keep it running.
- The real build vs. buy equation — where building with Claude makes sense, where an enterprise platform adds value, and when a hybrid approach may be the better choice.
- Beyond the model — the integrations, workflows, permissions, security, and guardrails required for an agent to safely complete customer tasks.
- From prototype to business value — how to test whether an agent actually resolves customer needs and delivers measurable outcomes and ROI.
